Shades of Fremont!…..local town citizens take up action against influx of Hispanics!

Posted by nebraskaobserver on September 2, 2008

It seems that residents of the community of Goshen, Indiana are “… damn sick and tired of pressing one for English” according to Bob Schrameyer, leader of Citizens for Immigration Law Enforcement, or CILE, recently formed to spur stricter enforcement of immigration law. The continued influx of illegal immigrants and the changes they bring, however, have just been too much to take, especially with the slow-down in U.S. economy and the increasing number of layoffs in the community.

Surprisingly, besides also having an illegal immigration issue, Goshen is a small town with striking similarities to Fremont, Nebraska as shown below.

This Goshen group was formed out of members’ interest in cracking down on undocumented workers and their employers. Here’s some interesting points to ponder according to retired truck leasing firm operator Bob Schrameyer and Goshen City Councilwoman Dixie Robinson.

  1. “They’re not against all immigrants, it’s just the illegal ones ” says Schrameyer.
  2. According to Schrameyer, “there’s nothing wrong with the immigrants coming and filling the jobs, as long as they’re legal.”
  3. Why shouldn’t those opposed to illegal immigration here raise their voice?” says Schrameyer.
  4. “We’ve got the law on our side.” They’re the ones who are here illegally. They’re the ones who broke the law to get here” explains Schrameyer.
  5. We have thousands of people here in Elkhart and St. Joe counties who are unemployed and can’t get work and illegals are working” said Robinson, elected to the Goshen council last year, in part on her stance on the immigration issue.
  6. They want to give foes of illegal immigration a voice. Robinson says “such critics are frequently hesitant about speaking out for fear of being labeled racist.
  7. If you’re illegal, you’re illegal,” said Robinson. “This isn’t anything about being racist, prejudiced.”
  8. Schrameyer sees the undocumented immigrants as “thumbing their nose” at law enforcement, complains they don’t pay their share of income taxes and gripes about other cultural intrusions brought on by their presence. “The community is damn sick and tired of pressing one for English,” he said.
  9. Schrameyer tires of talk of “diversity,” that is, the notion touted by immigrant defenders that the food, customs and other markers of the newcomers’ home countries enhance the local culture.

Group members envision seeking enforcement of existing law that they say is ignored and pushing for new state legislation requiring employers to be more stringent in checking their workers’ migratory status. They’ll also be pressing local candidates for office on their immigration views. ALIPC story eTruth story

It ain’t over till the fat lady sings in Postville!

Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation & State Patrol serve search warrant on Agriprocessors yesterday

The Iowa attorney general’s office had the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) along with the Iowa State Patrol serve a search warrant at the Agriprocessors Inc. plant in Postville. This Kosher processing plant was the site of a huge Immigration raid in May.

The plant has been accused of violating child-labor laws and worker-safety regulations. Earlier this month, the state Division of Labor recommended that the Iowa Attorney General’s Office file charges after 57 cases of child labor law violations at the plant were uncovered.

Apparently, no one was hauled off but they were probably searching for records. Of course, no comment from Agriprocessors.

So far, top executives and the plant’s owners have not yet faced any charges in connection with the raid or alleged child labor violations. Two lower-level supervisors recently pleaded guilty to Immigration charges and we are betting that the Feds are getting close to charging the exec’s and/or owners. Remember, it ain’t over till the fat lady sings! see stories DesMoines Register…..Chicago Tribune

Take down that bird feeder, Fremont and Nebraska citizens!

Posted by nebraskaobserver on July 22, 2008

We got a letter from Maxine the other day. The analogy is absolutely right on . . . Maxine tells it like it is!!!! Take down that bird feeder, Fremont and Nebraska citizens!

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed. What a beauty of a bird feeder it is, as I filled it lovingly with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food.

But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue. Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table everywhere!

Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. And others birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn’t even sit on my own back porch anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like it used to be…. quiet, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal. Now let’s see……!

Our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care, and free education and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen.

Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands. Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor; your child’s 2nd grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn’t speak English.

Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to ‘press one’ to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than ‘Old Glory’ are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties.

Just our opinion, but maybe it’s time for our federal, state and local governments to take down the bird feeder. If you agree, pass it on; if not, continue cleaning up the poop and paying high taxes the feed the birds!”

EDITORIAL: Shades of the National Socialist Movement…ugly pro-illegal immigration rally in Arizona (an example of the truth!)

Posted by nebraskaobserver on July 15, 2008

In reference to our posting yesterday of comments by Mark Brannen, Omaha, regarding the recent July 5 neo-Nazi demonstration in South Omaha against illegal immigration, we offer these observations.

Since, the NebraskaObserver was not there, we do not know specifically what was being said in Mark’s alleged “discriminatory rant about illegal immigration”, however if any racial comments were made they are inexcusable in our opinion.

That said, the public needs to know (and the World-Herald and any other state or national news organization is not going to tell you) that the mere criticism of our nation’s immigration system or problems associated with illegal immigration is immediately condemned by the “open borders” crowd as “hate speech” and “racist”. It’s in their “play book”.

Now yelling and using a loudspeaker is fair game as far as we are concerned. The “open borders” kooks and liberals have used them for years. Why not anyone else?

Additionally, there is overwhelming evidence that pro-illegal immigration advocates/kooks incite intolerance and violence. For example, see the recent beating and stomping of an effigy of Maricopa County (Phoenix) Sheriff Joe Arpaio, captured on video and reported in the Arizona Daily Star. This occurred at a rally sponsored by the Coalición de Derechos Humanos, a prominent illegal alien advocacy group.

In spite of a truly ugly protest organized by these pro-illegal alien protesters in front of a Tucson, Arizona, bookstore none of the self-anointed guardians of civil discourse have uttered a word of condemnation of these actions.

Oh!…. by the way, clearly depicted in the video, carrying the effigy head of Sheriff Arpaio is Isabel Garcia, an attorney for the Pima County (Tucson) public defender’s office (what’s that all about?).

If it were any other group, including the National Socialist Movement, it would be considered by the “open borders” kooks as a hate crime, but since it’s against a white man, there can’t possibly be any need to raise that issue, right?

If anyone thinks that this does not or will not happen here in Nebraska, think again! All a person has to do is look at the border and surrounding mid-western states. It’s already here, Nebraskans!

In the next few months leading up to the 2009 State legislative session, the NebraskaObserver will be bringing examples of this type of activity to your attention.

I-80 Mexican-So. American drug corridor alive and well during 4th of July weekend

Posted by nebraskaobserver on July 7, 2008

About 345 pounds of marijuana was seized by the Nebraska State Troopers on I-80 this 4th of July weekend. The three separate traffic stops occurred in Sarpy County, east of Grand Island and eastbound near Kearney.

On Thursday, July 3, 2008, a 1998 Honda Accord with Illinois plates was stopped for Following Too Close on eastbound I-80 near mm 437, in Sarpy County, Nebraska. The trooper’s K-9 indicated an odor of drugs coming from the vehicle. A search of the car led to the seizure of 220 lbs. of marijuana. The driver of the vehicle, 31-year-old Lazaro Cuen Alverez of San Jose, California and a passenger 30-year-old Gustavo Colunga Luna of Keizer, Oregon were both lodged in the Sarpy County Jail on charges of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver.

On Friday, July 4, 2008, a grey 2001 GMC with Arizona plates for speeding on eastbound I-80 near mm 315 on I-80 just east of Grand Island, in Hall County, Nebraska. The trooper was given consent to search the vehicle. The search led to the seizure of 89.7 lbs. of marijuana. The driver of the vehicle, 69-year-old Aurelio Vergara of Glendale, Arizona and a passenger 59-year-old Maria Vergara also of Glendale, Arizona, were both lodged in the Hall County Jail on Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver.

On Saturday, July 5, 2008, yielded 35 lbs of marijuana. A 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was stopped for speeding near Kearney in Buffalo County, Nebraska. A NSP canine indicated the odor of drugs coming from the vehicle. A search of the car led to the seizure of 35 lbs. of marijuana. The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old John Eisel the IV, of Rockville, Maryland was lodged in the Buffalo County Detention Center on a charge of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver.

Why is eastbound so significant? Well, drug mules travel up through northbound routes and hit I-80 to drive east. Most drugs passing through on I-80 come from the Southwest (from Texas to California) headed for Chicago.

Many drugs are going to Chicago, but authorities along I-80 also have stopped traffickers heading to the East Coast and other cities such as Rockford, Ill., Detroit and Milwaukee.

Interstate I-80 is a major drug corridor for narcotics being shipped east from the West Coast. With the exception of Pottawattamie County in western Iowa, which had a large number of arrests and seizures in 2007, no other county along the 461-mile stretch from Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Chicago have seen nearly as many drug seizures as Henry County, Ill.. In fact, more arrests occur there than in any other county along I-80 from Chicago to the Nebraska border.

Troopers have pulled bags of cocaine, marijuana, heroin, Ecstasy, methamphetamine and other drugs out of cars, semis and motor homes. It has been found in gas tanks, air filters, tires and various compartments.

The drugs state police see most often on the interstate are cocaine from Mexico and South America, marijuana from the West Coast, Mexico and Canada, and Ecstasy, Patterson said. They also have seen more methamphetamine from Mexico now that stricter state laws make it more difficult for local meth producers to get the ingredients they need.

At any rate, there is a lot of drug traffic on I-80 and only a small portion is intercepted. So, if 345 pounds represents only about 10% (this is probably a real conservative estimate) of the drug trafficked across I-80 in Nebraska within three days, then approximately 3,105 pounds (or about 1.5 tons) got through. Drug traffickers will sometimes have more than one vehicle carrying drugs on a run, so if one is stopped, the others will get through. On the other hand, most drug money seizures are in vehicles headed back west. Duh!

At the center of all this is the vicious Mexican drug cartels and illegal Hispanic aliens with ties to these gangs. Then we have the black and Hispanic gangs on the other end that are the primary distributors.

And if that isn’t bad enough, we have “un-American” U.S. citizens that continually enable these Mexican nationals and illegal aliens to go about their dirty work and muck-up our society all in the name of “open-borders”.

EDITORS NOTE: See World-Herald version and note that the WH didn’t indicate four of the five parties were of hispanic origin!

If you would like to really understand the difference between the argument that illegal aliens do the jobs American citizen workers won’t do vs. American citizen workers can’t afford to take the jobs illegal aliens do….watch this eye-opening video How Union Workers Are Affected By Illegal Immigration [Video] .

Omaha World-Herald -PUBLIC PULSE -May 23, 2008

Nick R. Bechtel, Fremont…..legal immigration is when someone knocks on the front door and is glad to meet you. Illegal immigration is when someone comes in the back door in the middle of the night, makes himself at home and can’t understand why he is not welcome.

Leonard Hill, Iowa….if you bleeding hearts feel so bad for them, then go to their country and help them get a better life. Legal immigrants, yes; illegal immigrants, no.
