Fed’s “Operation Streamline” is working… (zero-tolerance for wet & dry backs!)

Posted by nebraskaobserver on June 17, 2008

The Border Patrol’s and Justice Department’s Operation Streamline set a new all-time record in March for illegal alien prosecutions according to data received from the Justice Department. The total of 9,350 prosecutions was up almost 50% from the previous month and 73% from the previous year. Even more astounding is the 193% increase over the last five years, which includes Magistrate Court.

The spike in the illegal alien prosecutions of individuals charged with various immigration crimes is principally due to the result of “Operation Streamline.” which began as a pilot project in December 2005 at Del Rio, Texas within selected districts along the Mexican border.

Even the liberal Texas Civil Rights Review, says “the spurt in the prosecution of individuals charged with various immigration crimes is the result of “Operation Streamline” which is an intensified administration policy where the government has charged a rapidly growing number of undocumented aliens (notice i.e., AP, World-Herald and Lincoln Star-Herald), even Texas liberals don’t say immigrants) with various federal criminal charges, almost all in selected districts along the Mexican border.”

Curious About Operation Streamline?

It began as a pilot project in Del Rio, Texas in December 2005. An article in the Harlingen, Texas Valley Morning Star on June 11 reports that this is a “zero-tolerance” deterrence policy and intends “criminal prosecution of every migrant caught crossing the border without documentation.” The Border Patrol rolled out the policy Monday, June 9 along another four-mile stretch of Cameron County’s border with Mexico from Brownsville to Fort Brown. Formerly, first time offenders were offered the option of voluntary deportation and were processed, put on a bus and sent back to Mexico within hours of their arrest.” However, under Operation Streamline they are “detained, sent to court, jailed for up to 180 days if found guilty, and then deported.

Why should anybody in Nebraska care what is happening in Texas? Well, except for the illegal alien immigration enthusiast/whacko, any illegal alien making it across the border is either going to stay in Texas, for example, or move farther north where the job magnets are. They don’t just continue walking to Nebraska. Most are put in vans by human smugglers and transported to Nebraska or elsewhere. From that point, they start sucking the oxygen out of the air (so to speak) of the Nebraska taxpayers and citizens, given aid and comfort by the churches and then the Omaha based Mexican consulate. Bingo….they just won the lottery!

It seems to the Nebraska Observer that this pilot project in Texas is working very well. According to unnamed sources that brought this to our attention, an all-out effort will be made to bring a similar project to Nebraska.

EDITORIAL: Is the United Methodist Church running an illegal alien underground railroad in Nebraska?

Posted by nebraskaobserver on June 5, 2008

The Nebraska Observer recently learned that the United Methodist Church at their annual meeting April 23-May 2, in Ft. Worth, TX, adopted resolutions covering both global migration and immigration issues in the United States

The Methodist’s U.S. domestic resolution calls for “full protection of all workers, which includes the opportunity to gain legal status for all migrants.” It also urges U.S. lawmakers to ensure that immigrant laws do not rip apart families.”

Their global resolutionadvocates for the unification of families divided by borders and commends refugee resettlement work of the United Methodist Committee on Relief.”

A revision of the Social Principles replaces a statement on migrant workers with a more global perspective. “We call upon governments and all workers to ensure for foreign workers the same economic, educational and social benefits enjoyed by other citizens,” the new statement says.

So what does this mean for Nebraska MethodistsFirst and foremost, fellow Nebraska Methodists contacted by the Nebraska Observer said “that they did not get the memo from their church on this one!”  Secondly, members are not aware of this vast left-wing/liberal conspiracy by minority members of the Methodist church who are advancing an “open-borders” and unconditional “amnesty” agenda. The third point is the big one.  They are not aware that their church contributions are going to support this illegal and unpatriotic activity.

The liberal CNN authorized a poll by the Opinion Research Corporation, Jan. 14-17, 2008 which indicated that about 65% of Americans would like to see the number of illegal immigrants decreased while about 35% would like to see the numbers increased (5%) or remain the same (30%).  Now if we extrapolate this to the average Methodist church congregation or to the total United Methodist Church membership….Op’s, it looks like a lot of us didn’t vote on that measure in Ft. Worth!

We are a nation of laws. The opposite of laws is pure “anarchy“.  This group of traitors against the American citizenry within the Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist and other denominational faiths would have you believe that we can pick and choose which laws we want to obey.  If a personal conviction dictates that you don’t like the law, you can disobey the law (sounds like the 60’s doesn’t it?).  Here’s what federal immigration law says.

Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):

A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:

  • assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or
  • encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or
  • knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.

Disregarding those laws which we the citizens have put in place to protect us, these misguided unpatriotic anarchists continue to aid, abet, and pursue human smuggling so illegal aliens can get jobs.  This has created theft, rape, robbery, murder, repeated drunk driving, wage depression and document fraud within our communities.

Nebraska citizens who NOW cannot comprehend what illegal immigration does only has to look at our FUTURE by studying unfettered illegal immigration results in Arizona, California, , Illinois, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas, for example.  It’s not rocket science folks!

These “liberal” open-borders nuts can’t justify their position based upon facts or logic, so they have to appeal to your emotional side and quote certain bible scripture to fit their actions.

This is the same kind of liberal mumbo-jumbo that the Methodist Church in Nebraska went through several years ago when one church and pastor in particular wanted to perform “same-sex” marriages.  It literally broke that church apart and the outrage from the general membership started to divide other congregations.  Fortunately, this matter was resolved.

Catholics, Lutherans, Methodist and other denominational members should be saying to their priest/pastor and fellow members “Not in my church!…Not in my back yard!”  This group of traitors against U.S. laws and the American citizenry pose a potentially serious danger to the body of any church.  If DHS and the DOJ had any “cahunes”, they’d bust these churches which have become sites for breaking laws.

So what started this rant in the first place?  The Nebraska Observer noticed this item in a local state newspaper.

SCHUYLER — United Methodist Church Missionary Deb Keeney will speak at two churches June 8.

She will speak at 8:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in North Bend and at 10:30 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church in Schuyler.

Keeney is the program manager of Justice for our Neighbors-Nebraska (JFON-NE), a faith-based outreach ministry of the United Methodist Committee on Relief. The mission of the JFON-NE is to welcome immigrants into our churches and communities by providing free legal services, education and advocacy. Volunteer driven clinics are held in Columbus on the last Tuesday of each month.

For an appointment or more information, contact JFON-NE at (402) 898-1349.

Justice For Our Neighbors (JFON) is an arm of the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church. The mission of JFON is generally to provide free immigration legal services, a warm welcome (their words) and advocacy to immigrants in their congregations and communities.  Notice that JFON is careful not to say above that they are offering these services to illegal aliens.  Instead, they say immigrants. Now we all know that legal immigrants don’t have an urgent need for these services because they are legal.  Could it be that the services they are offering are felonies under Section 274?

Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist and other denominational churches don’t believe immigration agents will make arrests inside their churches but ICE agents have the authority to arrest anyone violating immigration law, anywhere.

This would be a good time for North Bend and Schuyler residents to go and protest the Methodist church aiding and harboring illegal aliens in their community.  Let’s see, you also have a location and the time.  It might also be a good time to call ICE.  Also, notify the Nebraska Minuteman and ask them to protest.

(Remember: You read it first at the Nebraska Observer.  Not in the Omaha World-Herald, Lincoln Journal-Star or any other Nebraska news media.)

Farmers Branch, TX: Ruling Clears the Way for New City Ordinance making it difficult for illegal aliens to reside and work in the city

Posted by nebraskaobserver on May 31, 2008

(Washington DC) A pair of orders issued this week by U.S. District Judge Sam Lindsay, have cleared the way for the city of Farmers Branch, Texas to implement a redrafted ordinance, says the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI). The new ordinance adopts key elements of model legislation drafted by IRLI.

The substitute, Ordinance 2952, was adopted by the Farmers Branch City Council last January. It provides a means to carry out the will of the voters who approved Ordinance 2903, while ensuring that the city does not infringe upon the federal government’s authority over immigration policy. IRLI is a recognized expert in drafting these sorts of local policies and has successfully worked with state and local governments to implement laws that allow them to become successful partners with the federal government in enforcement of immigration policies.

The objective of Farmers Branch is to institute policies that make it difficult for illegal aliens to reside and work in the city,” stated Michael Hethmon, general counsel for IRLI. “The citizens have repeatedly stated at the polls that they want effective local policies to deter illegal immigration. Farmers Branch should not have to shoulder this federal burden, but they have admirably done their civic duty. Cities across the nation can now benefit from the work reflected in the new ordinance.”….story

The Myth Of The Mexican Super Worker!: “faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound”

Posted by nebraskaobserver on May 30, 2008

Many “open-border” advocates (nuts) tout the illegal aliens as having super human work ethic and productivity or “faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound” . Digger reports on this myth and how one vegetable packer who actually moved their operation to Mexico saw productivity go down by 40% from U.S. standards. ….See Digger’s story

The Big Lie: “Jobs Americans just won’t do.”

Posted by nebraskaobserver on May 29, 2008

Every once in a while, we run across an astute young person that takes the time to listen and make up his/her own mind and not regurgitate the “10 second sound bites “ coming from the dinosaur news media. One such person is, Joel Borofsky, a 24 year old student at The College at Southwestern in Ft. Worth, TX. Although, his website, The Christian Watershed, is primarily dedicated to discussing philosophy, theology, and cultural items, he did take time to read and provide his interesting observations on Glenn Beck’s commentary on illegal immigration being the new slave labor: We encourage Joel and others to spend more time on the Communist News Network (CNN) listening to Glenn Beck than Jon Stewart on Crossfire.

The Nebraska Observer completely agrees with Joel’s observation that “for too long I believe American Christians have held completely absurd views on illegal immigration” and “there has been a greater moral breakdown in Christianity.” Joel’s website.
