One way for Christians
I am writing in response to a July 14 letter by the Rev. Nonin Chowaney, a Buddhist priest. The letter said Christians are intolerant for saying their way is the only way to eternal life.
Knowledgeable Christians who read and study the Bible know that Christ said in John 14:6: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
So Christians believe that their way is the only way. Some might call that narrow-minded, but it is also written in Matthew 7:13-14:
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and may enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
