Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation & State Patrol serve search warrant on Agriprocessors yesterday

The Iowa attorney general’s office had the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) along with the Iowa State Patrol serve a search warrant at the Agriprocessors Inc. plant in Postville. This Kosher processing plant was the site of a huge Immigration raid in May.

The plant has been accused of violating child-labor laws and worker-safety regulations. Earlier this month, the state Division of Labor recommended that the Iowa Attorney General’s Office file charges after 57 cases of child labor law violations at the plant were uncovered.

Apparently, no one was hauled off but they were probably searching for records. Of course, no comment from Agriprocessors.

So far, top executives and the plant’s owners have not yet faced any charges in connection with the raid or alleged child labor violations. Two lower-level supervisors recently pleaded guilty to Immigration charges and we are betting that the Feds are getting close to charging the exec’s and/or owners. Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out
of his hand?

What does the law say about this situation?

Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it?

Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does
this send to society and to my children?

Is it possible he’d be happy with just killing me?

Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to
wound me?

If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away
while he was stabbing me?

Should I call 9-1-1 ?

Why is this street so deserted?

We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this a
happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.

This is all so confusing!

I need to discuss with some friends over a latte and try to come to
a consensus.

Immigration agents focusing on Fremont

FREMONT, Neb. – Federal immigration agents have stepped up efforts in Fremont since the debate over a controversial City Council proposal that would have punished those who rented to or hired illegal immigrants, local leaders said Wednesday.

“We’ve had a lot more contact with their field agents,” Doug Campbell, Dodge County Director of Correction, said of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“They’ve been coming up and talking to us in person, reassuring us that if we need anything they’re there and available,” Campbell said.

County Attorney Paul Vaughan said ICE has placed more federal “holds” on illegal immigrants serving time for previous criminal acts.

News Bulletin: Fremont, Nebraska immigration task force grows!

The Fremont, Nebraska task force on the cities illegal immigration issues has expanded to include representatives from the Attorney General Jon Bruning, U.S. Rep. Jeff Fortenberry and U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson’s offices. Too bad they don’t include the real elected officials.

Watch for Cindi with the Hispanic sounding name from the World-Herald to ask La Raza (The Race), the ACLU, the Nebraska Appleseed Project and many other radical nut groups if it’s OK! She is probably working overtime as our item is being posted. KPTM news item

Obama supporter found shot in the back of the head

Linda Burnett , 23, a resident of San Diego , was visiting her in-laws and while there went to a nearby supermarket to pick up some groceries.

Several people noticed her sitting in her car with the windows rolled up and with her eyes closed, with both hands behind the back of her head.

One customer who had been at the store for a while became concerned and walked over to the car. He noticed that Linda’s eyes were now open, and she looked very strange. He asked her if she was okay, and Linda replied that she had been shot in the back of the head, and had been holding her brains in for over an hour.

The man called the paramedics, who broke into the car because the doors were locked and Linda refused to remove her hands from her head. When they finally got in, they found that Linda had a wad of bread dough on the back of her head.

A Pillsbury biscuit canister had exploded from the heat, making a loud noise that sounded like a gunshot, and the wad of dough hit her in the back of her head. When she reached back to find out what it was, she felt the dough and thought it was her brains. She initially passed out, but quickly recovered.

Linda is a blonde, and a Democrat, and an Obama supporter, but that could be irrelevant.
